Photoshoot

It's always a risk planning an outdoor photoshoot in November! More so when it involved an open-top classic car! Fortunately, the weather gods deemed to smile on us and presented almost the perfect weather conditions: relatively warm and dry, and cloudy giving a wonderful soft light, ideal for photos.

The photoshoot presented many challenges. Firstly, deciding what photographic equipment to bring: as you can see, there is no boot, and as I was bringing my friend Marisa (with all her outfits for the weekend), space was very limited. Secondly, where to shoot! Fortunately, the large area outside reception provided a large open space, albeit I'd have to compromise due to the car park and coaches in the background. But it did enable me to set up some additional lighting to give a bit of a boost and make things truly shine.

The car in question is a Morgan Plus-4 four-seater, registered in 1998. She is doubly unusual: four-seater Morgans are rare (indeed, they are no longer manufactured), and it's also rare for them to have the larger 2-litre engine (she has a 2-litre K-series Rover engine).

Not surprisingly, the shoot drew lots of attention! Perhaps unusually, it wasn't the girls who were turning heads. They had to compete with another stunning model: the car!
