Summer Garden Party

Richard will open his house and garden on Sunday, July 13th, for a summer garden party and BBQ to raise funds for the transgender charity Not A Phase.

There will be various food options, from BBQ to freshly cooked pizza. There'll be the chance to partake in garden games such as giant snakes and ladders, giant dominoes and French boules, or sit and relax in the orchard behind the house while making new friends.

Annabelle and Jessica will be acting as hostesses. Tamasin will be the DJ for the afternoon, playing some light background music in the afternoon, before cranking up the volume for some dancing later in the evening. A magician will also be charming us with some magic acts.

The event is free to attend with a pre-booked ticket; we ask you to consider donating to our chosen charity when requesting your ticket. All donations will be passed on to the charity (after deductions made by banks and card providers).

The event starts at two o'clock and finishes at eight o'clock.

    Detailed Timings

The official date and time for the event is Sunday, 13th July, from 2 - 8 pm. However, we won’t kick you out at the end if you wish to hang around and continue to socialise (although we may turn down the music out of courtesy to our neighbours).

If you wish to change at the premises, you are welcome to arrive from 1 pm by prior arrangement to change (please see the entry for changing).

If you’ve requested a makeover, these will start from 1 pm.

We aim to serve food from about 4 pm.

  • Who is welcome?

Anyone who is part or a friend of the trans-community!

If you need or want a makeover, Mikayla and Brandy will be available to do your makeup. Please pre-book a 30-minute appointment with the makeup artists when requesting your ticket. The cost of a makeover is £40.

If you request a makeover, we’ll also ask you to let us know when you’d like your makeup done. Please note that the timing is approximate, but we’ll do our best to ensure your makeup looks fabulous.

Please arrive for your session shaved and washed.

We have two bedrooms and a bathroom for people to get changed and do their makeup (although why not treat yourself and take advantage of one of our makeup artists?).

Please note that you may need to share the changing area with others changing for the event; please arrange between yourselves if you need privacy.
